Quark Expeditions is seeking an experienced, dynamic travel industry professional to lead sales growth through partner channels in select markets as a Business Development VIC.

Role Overview:

The position focuses on generating new revenue and managing existing partner sales within a designated territory. Working closely with the Regional Sales Director APAC and Global Partnership Director, the role involves identifying new business opportunities to grow sales and establish partnerships across multiple channels. The role will also involve developing leads and elevating select accounts to top-producing status within the indirect market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage both existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
  • Identify trends and customer needs to build a sales pipeline aligned with targets.
  • Prospect new agencies within retail consortia and wholesale channels to generate new revenue.
  • Focus on conversion metrics and elevate lower-revenue accounts to top-producing status.
  • Educate trade audiences on Quark products through live and virtual training sessions.
  • Participate in relevant events to maximize product exposure.
  • Maintain and communicate special offers and conditions for assigned accounts.
  • Utilize Softrip and Salesforce to analyze and monitor sales in the assigned territory, ensuring high lead conversion rates.
  • Coordinate lead and client-related communication with relevant departments.
  • Support high-level strategy and marketing efforts with key accounts.
Experience & Skills:
  • 5-7 years of experience in increasingly senior roles in Sales or Business Development, preferably within the travel industry.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively outline Quark’s product and value proposition.
  • Deep understanding of retail and wholesale channels, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and prospect leads.
  • Ability to understand passenger needs and make recommendations to enhance customer experience.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization skills and the ability to independently manage travel schedules and appointments.
  • Passionate about exceeding goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is essential.
Remote & Travel Requirements:
  • This is a remote position requiring a dedicated workspace/home office.
  • The role requires international travel within the assigned territory and for selected events, up to 50% of the year.
