Is cooking your passion? Do you have experience managing a smaller kitchen? Right now, we are looking for a kitchen manager who wants to help develop our restaurant in Vuoggatjålme.

Here you get to work with local ingredients that have been chosen with great care. Norrland quality is our most important guiding light. As kitchen manager, you are responsible for the kitchen during service, but also for the operation and serving work together as a whole. Briefings, purchases, planning of the day’s operations and quality checks are some of your duties. You are also an important part in developing our kitchen’s cooking philosophy, menu and routines.

    • Daily work in the kitchen. During periods of low pressure you will work alone in the kitchen.
    • Inventory and purchasing responsibility for the kitchen.
    • Lead and distribute the work and ensure functioning work routines.
    • Recruit and hire staff in consultation with the restaurant manager/owner.
    • Prepare and carry out induction of new and returning employees.
    • Together with the owners, participate in the development of the food and drink menu and find new development opportunities for the restaurant.With us, you become part of a small and familiar team that stands up for each other.       The area:

      Vuoggatjålme is a family-owned company since 1922, located in Arjeplog’s mountain world four miles from the Norwegian border. The area is a popular destination for local, national and international guests who all come to experience our amazing nature in their own way. In addition to the restaurant, the farm also has cabin rental and offers scooter guiding, fishing experiences and helicopter transport.

       Your profile:
      • Previous experience in managing smaller kitchens, alternatively working independently.
      • You see it as a matter of course to participate operationally in the operation.
      • You are passionate about cooking and development within it.
      • You are communicative and efficient while you have the ability to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude both towards colleagues and guests.
      • Experience of planning, leading and developing routines in a similar business is an advantage.
      Your work assignments:

Accommodation can be arranged

The position is full-time, permanent with a 3-month trial period.
