Working with your Snr leaders onboard the ship, you will empower your teams with your engaging and inclusive leadership style to ensure our guests and crew receive a great experience whilst onboard.
Who we need
Main responsibilities:
Overall safety of passengers, crew and ship, and pollution-prevention
Lead and ensure collaboration within the Ships management team to ensure the guest and crew experience is always at the heart of the operation
Ensuring that the ships company follow the applicable regulatory framework at all times, and compliance with the requirements set by the authorities and classification societies.
Safe navigation and operations, voyage planning and maintain compliance of internal, external, regulatory and statuary requirements
Coordination of emergency response internally and with external services including rescue at sea
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 5 years experience as a Chief Officer, sailing onboard expedition / cruise ships
Has experience and in-depth knowledge of sailing in various expedition destinations
In compliance to the flag State competence requirements and documentation
Essential to be a holder of Basic and Advanced Polar code certification with extensive ice navigation
Fluent written/oral English language

Excellent leadership skills, always leading from the front with crew or guests
Management experience of leading large teams
Excellent communication skills with public speaking experience
Able to work under stressful conditions, managing own time and welfare of others
