Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position requires a personable, persuasive, and success driven candidate with strong organizational skills and advanced proficiency in a CRM.  The candidate must possess strong consultative selling skills and the ability to listen to the customer’s needs, and is comfortable managing data, tracking customer interactions, and utilizing analytics. Adventure Canada’s sales are conducted primarily through phone and digital communications, but the role also requires the ability to deliver compelling in-person and virtual sales presentations, as well as attend industry trade shows and events.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at our Mississauga office. You may also be eligible for our flexible workplace program, which offers a hybrid work model allowing up to two days of remote work per week.

We provide a competitive extended health benefits package after successful completion of the probationary period, and you’ll also be eligible to join our Deferred Profit-Sharing Program after six months of active employment.

Overarching duties and responsibilities:
  • Connect and build rapport with prospective travellers over the phone, email, social media, and in-person to drive and close daily sales and meet service KPIs
  • Qualify prospects utilizing a CRM, data analytics, and asking the right questions
  • Ensure the use of correct booking processes and procedures for streamlined and accurate sales
  • Build and continue to develop in-depth regional knowledge of the people, ecology, and places on Adventure Canada’s travel calendar
  • Connect interdepartmentally as an active contributor to improve our processes, policies, and our guest experience
  • Self-motivate, demonstrate initiative, and a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives, and work ethic
  • Represent Adventure Canada at tradeshows, events and on expeditions
  • Embody and articulate the Adventure Canada ethos of travel as an engaging tool to make the world a better place through meaningful connection
Essentials:
  • TICO certified
  •  2+ years of successful B2B and B2C experience
  • 2+ years of CRM experience in sales or related fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and ability to learn new software
  • Comfort and experience selling to sophisticated/affluent clientele with creativity and energy
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate events, sales opportunities, and/or operational changes as required, as well as a willingness to travel for business
  • Collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced hybrid team environment
  • Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Fluency in French and English is an asset
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and the Truth & Reconciliation Commissions calls to action
